Typical process would be
1) Get Planned independent Requirement ( From SOP or manually) into MD61. Enter 3-4 month in future , if longest lead time raw mat is 3-4 month
2) Run MRP. Get PR/PO flowing in system , similarly Plan order/Prod order
3)Changes are caprued in system every day ,Over/under Good receipt, vendor confirmation, Scrap, yield. Hence run MRP every week/every day to fishout reschduling messages.
4) Monthly SOP changes PIR/ manuall change in MD62
Process continues
Why is it a problem? Typically MRP should be self -regulating & should take care of different time frames of different product groups.
